Chief Marketing Officer


One of the biggest, globally operating payments provider for the acceptance of Crypto Currencies at the Merchant Checkout is looking for a Chief Marketing Officer. As they are expanding rapidly we are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial CMO who will define the entire Marketing Strategy end-to-end. Founded in 2013, this payment solution provider allows merchants to accept Bitcoin and over 1700 Altcoins in their (online) store through easy-to-use plugins, APIs and POS Interfaces. Currently there are over 2 million live merchants across 182 countries.


The Challenge

This role is key and unique in itself given you will be working directly and closely together with the Chief Executive Officer to establish new strategies and implement new marketing programs to increase users of the payments platform. The role essentially involves everything marketing related to drive the business forward but will also help by contributing in the creation of concepts and ideas for expanding business, taking market share from competitors and attracting new strategic partnerships while also helping to present the company to potential buyers, investors and new customers.

We are therefore looking for someone who has experience and is capable of driving the company’s brand transformation and positioning it as the preferred crypto currency payment platform for merchants through boosting its visibility towards, current, new geographical and all vertical markets.

As the Chief Marketing Officer, you will play an important role in driving the future growth of the company making it an exciting time to join for a hands-on, experienced Marketeer to make a difference in helping the organisation grow.

– Driving the launch of the new company’s Visual Brand Identity.

– Building-up the company’s visibility to establish a top of mind presence for the Brand via PR activity, Thought Leadership, Events, Digital Marketing, Webinars.

– Marketing the company’s products and services across the board.

– Growing the sales pipeline generating leads with Digital Marketing (SEO, SEA, Social Media) and Events.

What you will do:

  • As the Chief Marketing Officer, you will establish a compelling marketing strategy to accelerate the expansion of the brand, globally.
  • You will be responsible for boosting the output, reach and efficiency of our performance marketing through organic and paid search on the various online channels. You will establish a rigorous data driven mind-set and scalable process to optimise all marketing campaigns based on ROI and impact in the local market. You will deploy a series of marketing automation tools to accelerate and improve the impact of the marketing activities.
  • You will support and work closely together with the CEO with local campaigns, target customer segmentation, local and international events, product marketing and partner marketing plans.
  • You will redefine the website to boost brand and customer awareness.
  • You will also work on creating the content, design the marketing campaigns and manage the design and performance of the company’s website.

What you will bring:

  • You have experience in driving scalable marketing strategies in a fast paced B2B FinTech/ Payments Environment.
  • Understanding of and experience with Crypto currencies is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • You are a thought leader in the marketing industry and you are an expert in data driven marketing, with ROI based decision making. Next to this you are experienced with marketing automation tools and web analytics services and you have gained deep understanding of online performance marketing across all major channels.
