Hallertau/Germany, 24 May 2023 – CCV GmbH, a leading provider of payment solutions, and Bender Group, the market leader with their charging controllers in the electric vehicle (EV)-charging industry, will work together on implementing open payment terminals in EV-charging stations across Europe. This collaboration is a significant development for the EV-charging market which requires stations with integrated open-loop payment solutions.
CCV has won the tender of Bender Group, and ebee smart technologies, a subsidiary of Bender Group, is responsible for the implementation. CCV and Bender expect to install around 300,000 payment terminals within Europe over the next few years – including the UK.
Significant development to improve the EV-charging experience

The payment terminals will be integrated into the charge controller developed by Bender and thereafter offered as a complete payment solution via the charge point manufacturers to EV-charge point operators. This will make it easy for EV drivers to pay as the terminal supports contactless payments, including PIN on Glass and e-receipts. There is no subscription, charging pass or token needed. The charge controller will also be equipped with efficient charging and load management tools to ensure sustainable and cost-effective charging.
