This globally-recognised blue chip software development house for the online gaming market were suffering with slow system integrations (12+ weeks.)
These protracted integration timeframes were making them slow to respond to the market, a major factor impacting business growth.
A combination of complex corporate processes and policies were partly responsible for delays to projects.
Talent and skills shortages were limiting available resource and causing the existing team to be significantly over-utilised.
The business was based in a non-EU timezone.
We delivered a powerful augmented tech team which substantially reduced delivery time for crucial integrations.
We provide access to world class technical consultants and specialist delivery resources
The client was suffering with slow system integrations (12+ weeks) that were affecting their ability to respond to the market and hit growth acceleration targets.
Their tech personnel were spending a large proportion of time and effort navigating corporate development processes and policies. General technical development was suffering as a consequence, with an over-utilised team. The tight talent market was prohibiting access to the necessary technical skills at the right quality. Originally, the client specifically requested 22 additional personnel to accelerate the integration delivery timeline.
We conducted an initial assessment of the client’s TDLC and SDLC. This process identified the need for an initial 11-person Augmented Team (half the size initially requested by the client) to be able to complete the known integrations. We also found ways to change and accelerate elements of the integration development cycle, achieving low risk changes with reduced resource.
A remote team was built in South Eastern Europe, providing a dedicated service to this non-EU client. This team worked on the client’s EAT time zone. Management oversight of this team was provided by our Technical Delivery Manager and Commercial Manager.
The client’s integration delivery time was reduced from (on average) 12 weeks to 4 weeks. Further recommendations made by us to the client, relating to streamlining protocols, reduced the integration time by a further 7 days.
Our team since increased to 23 people operational within the first 12 months. This increase was requested by the client in order to deliver a larger volume of integrations. Over 24 months, only 1 team resource has been replaced or left the initial project team.
As Enterprise Solutions Director and with over 20 years' experience in RPO Solutions, David took the lead on ensuring augmented resource scope, definition and project controls were maintained for clarity and consistency at all times.
“Accelerating integrations is a common challenge within the gaming sector. The success of this project was centered on our ability to rapidly identify the right skills, at the right level, and at the right time to create maximum impact to the client.”
As Chief Technology Advisor Richard brings 25+ years’ experience within payments, Richard provided industry-specialist leadership on this project.
“This project evidently required an initial assessment before identifying the required resources. The client were pleased to be able to begin at just half the level of staffing they originally requested, and we’re delighted that initial success had led to an expanded provision.”
